Clinic Materials

Clinics provide excellent opportunities for pro bono attorneys to meet one-on-one with low-income individuals in the community. Typically volunteers provide advice and consultation, direct representation and/or education/outreach services. Clinics can be general in nature or targeted to a particular legal need or client group.

The National Celebration of Pro Bono features diverse strategies to effectively engage volunteers with clients in a clinical setting. Below are materials for two types of clinics held in Alabama during the celebration. These materials include a planning timeline to get you started sample flyers and news releases to publicize your event and materials to record and track the services you provided. Additional examples can be found on the National Pro Bono Celebration web site

If you have questions about any of the materials on this site you can contact Linda Lund, Director of the Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program at (334) 269-1515.
