MCLE: 5.0 hours of MCLE Credit including 1 hour of Ethics. Qualifying young lawyers can also earn an additional 1 hour of MCLE credit at a luncheon mixer with state and federal judges.
The Mobile and Baldwin County Bar Associations' 25th Annual Bench & Bar Conference provides area lawyers with the opportunity to meet with judges, enjoy fellowship and learn about significant legal issues that affect the practice of law.
As part of the program, there will be an hour-long panel discussion moderated by David A. Bagwell featuring Hon. Callie V.S. Granade, U.S. District Judge, Southern District of Alabama; Hon. Robert E. Wilters, presiding judge, 28th Judicial Circuit, Bay Minette; Hon. Benjamin H. Brooks, III, 13th Judicial Circuit, Mobile; Hon. Jody W. Bishop, 28th Judicial Circuit, Bay Minette; Hon. C. Joseph Norton, 28th Judicial Circuit, Bay Minette; and Hon. Jay York, 13th Judicial Circuit, Mobile.
A cocktail party and silent auction highlight Friday evening's activities and Saturday's scheduled event is a golf tournament at the Lakewood Golf Club. More detailed information concerning the agenda, MCLE faculty, subjects to be discussed and registration information is available online.
