You must complete a Request for Preparation of a Character Report from National Conference of Bar Examiners if you meet the following criteria: 

• You are not a resident of the state of Alabama
• If you filed an application, preliminary or otherwise in another state
• You took and/or passed the bar examination in another state
• You are a licensed attorney in another state

After completing the entire application, submit it electronically to the NCBE. Print a hard copy, sign it in the presence of a
notary and mail the signed copy to the Alabama State Bar.
