In an effort to better serve you, we have created an information profile or “I-Profile” for every state bar member as of February 1. This profile will tell us your preferred format for receiving communications and other member related information from the bar. For example, do you want to receive member benefit information electronically, but continue receiving a printed version of The Alabama Lawyer by mail? You choose the format that suits you the best for receiving and maintaining different types of information from us.

Your I-Profile will be individual to you and your practice needs and can be modified at any time. We believe I-Profile can be a valuable tool that can streamline your communications from the state bar, reduce our print and postage costs, and thereby help us serve you more efficiently. In order to complete your I-Profile form you will need to go to the ASB Web site (www.alabar.org) but please note the following important information: On February 1, to provide a more secure environment on our Web site, we have created a new feature that will allow you to choose your own custom User ID and Password. You will no longer be able to use your E-mail address and Bar ID to login.

On February 1:

  1. Go to www.alabar.org. In order to log in you must click on the hyperlink that says: “Click here to use the new login procedure.”
  2. You will be directed to a page where you will be asked to create a new User ID and Password. Then press “submit.”
  3. Once you’ve successfully registered, you will see another screen that says "Congratulations, you have successfully created your User ID and Password". You can now login by entering your newly established User ID and Password in the boxes at the top of that page.
  4. You will then be taken to the I-Profile form which you can complete.

That's it. Four steps.

Thank you.
