Bradley G. Carr Named Director Of Communications For The Alabama State Bar
Montgomery, Ala., September 5, 2006 - Keith B. Norman, executive director of the Alabama State Bar, has announced the appointment of Bradley G. Carr as director of communications for the 15,000-member organization.
Norman said, "We are pleased to have someone of Brad's caliber join our staff since he has made a career out of working with and for lawyers over the past 35 years. He brings a wealth of experience and national contacts to the position and is highly respected by his peers."
For the past 22 years Carr served as the director of media services and public affairs for the 72,000-member New York State Bar Association, located in Albany, N.Y. He will be responsible for strategic communications planning, public and media relations, coordinating media and public relations strategies for both members and the public, implementing public outreach campaigns, and providing crisis communications counseling.
Prior to his employment with the New York bar, he was associate director of the American Bar Association's Division for Bar Services in Chicago, Ill., and was previously affiliated with the ABA's Commission on Correctional Facilities and Services in Washington, D.C. He has also worked for The Missouri Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. He received his degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
