Pass It On: Become a Mentor
The Jefferson County New Lawyer Mentoring Program pairs qualifying new lawyers (those working fulltime) with a mentor for one-on-one mentoring, with each pairing selecting topics and activities to complete. New lawyers not qualifying will still be able to participate, but in a "group mentoring" alternative. New lawyers also attend court sessions at various courthouses in the Jefferson County area.
Sponsors for this project include the Judicial Councils of the Alabama Lawyers Association and the Magic City Bar Association; the Birmingham Inn of Court; the Diversity Task Force and Solo Practice/Small Firm Section of the Birmingham Bar Association; and the Greater Birmingham Defense Lawyers Association.
