Who Knew the Law Could Be So Much Fun? LAWSUIT!™ Board Game Wins 2009 Game of the Year
For the third year in a row, LAWSUIT!™ has won the "Game of the Year" award in family education from Creative Child magazine.
It's the first board game of its kind. It puts a fun spin on the law while teaching players legal jargon, tactics and what it takes to run a practice.
The game can accommodate two to six players at a time, and is suitable for ages eight and up. Strategic decisions involved in playing the game include whether to settle, litigate or appeal a court's verdict; whether to remain in sole practice or "buy into" a law partnership; and when to end the game by reaching the final square, where "Attorney of the Year" is determined.
LAWSUIT!™ is the brainchild of Tina Nelson, owner of Professional Games, Inc. She developed the game to come up with an interesting Father's Day gift for her husband. Since both spouses are lawyers, she wanted to find a way to teach her children about the legal profession in a fun way while spending quality time together.
