Lawyers Render Service

Pictured above at a pro bono legal clinic they organized at the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind are attorneys Jeanne Rasco and Davis Williamson of the Talladega County Bar Association. Rasco is reading over documents prepared for a client while in the foreground, an interpreter is assisting a client. Clinic lawyers provided pro bono assistance with wills, powers of attorney and advanced health care directives being offered to the work force at the Alabama Industries for the Blind (AIB). Alabama Industries for the Blind is a diverse manufacturing complex and one of the country's largest employers of people who are sight impaired. AIB provides training and employment opportunities for sight-impaired and hearing-impaired adults who produce more than 100 different items, ranging from military equipment including helmet covers, flyers' kit bags and all the neckties worn by U.S. servicemen to American flags, linens and office supplies. For more information on this project, contact Jeanne Rasco.
