AlabamaLegals.com launches subscription service

For more than a year, the Alabama Press Association and its member newspapers have provided a statewide public notices Web site, AlabamaLegals.com. More than 90 percent of Alabama's qualified newspapers upload legal notices that are published in their newspapers onto this fully searchable Web site on a daily or weekly basis, depending on their publication schedule. Notices can be manually searched by county, newspaper, keyword or start date at no cost.

Now, AlabamaLegals.com is offering subscriptions to users who are frequent visitors to the site and need to receive their notices without having to pull them up individually every day.

For $35 per month, each subscriber can input up to 10 different searches, and receive one comprehensive e-mail every day containing the notices sorted by their search criteria from the previous day's publication date.

Users set up their own search profiles allowing up to 10 different counties, and can indicate keywords to locate the particular notices they want to find. Searches may be modified at any time throughout the subscription at no additional charge.

These searches will be put into a queue, and the system will scan the database overnight and generate one e-mail to each subscriber around 8 a.m. containing all the matches to their individual profile.

Typical users are looking for things like foreclosures for certain counties or construction bids in particular areas. The comprehensive e-mail alleviates the problem of pulling up notices one by one from the main site.

AlabamaLegals.com will continue to function as it always has, as a way to search for individual statewide public notices at no cost. But if you need to find specific notices on a broader scale, look into the subscription service by going to http://www.AlabamaLegals.com and click on the button at the top right of the page for further details and to subscribe.
