The Southern Conference of Bar Presidents is comprised of Bar Associations from 17 States and 1 Territory. All of the associations (with the exception of the Virgin Islands) are in the Southeastern United States: from Florida to Texas, Kansas to Maryland and states in between.
The Conference convenes three times during the year: at its annual meeting held in the fall, during the ABA annual meeting and the ABA mid-year meeting. In 2011, the meeting will be sponsored by the Kentucky Bar Association.
The SCBP is designed to be a collaborative leadership group to help bar leaders discuss and present new ideas and programs. The meetings also serve to foster camaraderie among the Executive Directors and Officers of the member state's Bar Associations.
