Annual Meeting Room Block Filling Up Fast; Early-Bird Registration Rates End THIS FRIDAY!

The Annual Meeting will be held Thursday July 14 through Saturday, July 17. The Bar's room block at the Grand Hotel for Saturday night, July 17, is already sold out. However, rooms are still available in our room block Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. You will book hotel reservations directly with the Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa. Once you complete your online Annual Meeting registration, you will receive the hotel reservation link. Be sure to ask for our group rate!

A Message from President-Elect Taze Shepard

As President-Elect of the Alabama State Bar, I invite you to consider a leadership role in one of our committees or task forces. You will help our bar develop new projects with our 18,000+ members. We are dedicated to a wide variety of members' interests, and we are committed to inclusion and diversity. Whether you are still actively practicing or are retired, our state bar has a place for you among our very talented and dedicated volunteers, who provide outstanding services and support for our members and promote access to justice for all Alabamians.

Things to know:

  • Committee and task force meeting participation is free to members and law student members - no extra section fees!

  • Members may attend any committee or task force meeting (you do not need to be a member of the committee).

  • Committee or task force members are expected to promptly respond to Bar voicemails and emails and to attend all meetings in person or by Zoom call.

2021 Alabama State Bar Commissioner Election Now Open

Attorneys in Judicial Circuits 4, 10, 15 and 23 should have received an email this morning letting you know the 2021 BBC Election is open. All online ballots must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, to be counted.
