SUMMARY:2nd Annual College Minority Conference (Montgomery)
DESCRIPTION:The ASB’s Diversity in the Profession Committee is hosting its 2nd Annual College Minority Conferences.  This year the Conferences will be in Birmingham and Montgomery.  The Conferences were inspired by the longstanding High School Minority Pre-law program offered by the Young Lawyer’s Section of the Alabama State Bar. \nThese free conferences are creating a pipeline for minority students within our state to obtain valuable information about pursuing a legal career.  College Students will receive information regarding the requirements for gaining admission to law school\, listen to panel discussions on various careers available to persons with a juris doctorate\, watch a mock trial\, hear advice from attorneys and judges\, and network with students who have similar ambitions. \nFree to college students and college pre-law advisors but RSVP required. Lunch provided and reception.
