Purpose & Scope

The Cuba Task Force of the Alabama State Bar promotes research on legal issues in the relationship between Alabama and Cuba. The laws and foreign policies of the United States and Cuba affect a wide array of legal specialties, many with a direct effect on Alabama.

The Cuba Task Force seeks to foster opportunities for individual and collaborative research among members with shared interests and to assist local bar associations and sections in including U.S./Alabama/Cuba issues in their programs and publications.

This task force shall meet at the call of the Chair. The Alabama State Bar, through its designated staff liaison, will assist the task force in carrying out its purpose.
