Assistant District Attorney for the 4th Judicial Circuit
The 4th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office currently is seeking a full-time competent and energetic lawyer to join our staff. The individual in this role primarily would be responsible for handling district court criminal matters, as well as juvenile court and child support cases. Circuit court assignments will depend on experience.
Applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate and be an active member of the Alabama State Bar. Applicants should have excellent writing and oral communication skills, good character, a strong work ethic, strong computer skills, as well as the ability to work well with others, or independently. No experience as a prosecutor is required. At least one year of post-J.D. experience practicing criminal law is preferred.
The 4th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office covers Bibb, Dallas, Hale, Perry and Wilcox Counties. Attorneys employed with the Office are assigned to a single county but may be required to travel to any of the counties located in the circuit from time to time.
Salary Information: $55,000 – 62,500
