Black Voters Matter Summer Legal Fellow

Legal Services Alabama is searching for an exceptional law student to work with us this summer as the Black Voters Matter Summer Legal Fellow. The fellow will assist in organizing clinics, conducting outreach, and building partnerships within communities throughout the state. The position will also be required to perform legal research and develop outreach strategies. The BVM Summer Legal Fellow will facilitate meetings with community partners and court representatives, including district attorneys and judges from circuits around the state. The fellow will help to organize clinics that will provide clients with an opportunity to file for expungements, clear warrants, and reinstate driver’s licenses.

This position will start May 23rd and last through August 12th, with a stipend of $5000. Home office location is negotiable.
