Job Opening-Firm Administrator

Small law firm in downtown Birmingham has an immediate need for an experienced part time administrator to assist with the following:


  • Oversee Daily operations/HR
  • Internal Financials/budgeting
  • Facilities/supplies management
  • A/P oversight including check issuance
  • A/P oversight including electronic deposits
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Benefits administration including renewals
  • Payroll
  • Oversee time entries/ monthly billing
  • Assist managing partners with strategic planning and practice management
  • Work with outside CPA


  • 3+ years office management experience, law firm preferred, with references
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Time and billing software experience (PC Law or Juris preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality and efficiency
  • HR experience
  • Critical thinking and analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business development acumen
  • Minimal outside distractions

Salary and hours

25 hours per week, $25 per hr.
