McCallum Resigns as Executive Director

On Friday, October 23, 2020, Phillip McCallum tendered his resignation as the Executive Director of the Alabama State Bar. The Alabama State Bar appreciates Phillip’s three years of service as Executive Director and plans to continue the positive trajectory Phillip began. In accordance with our employee handbook, the Management Team has been activated. That team consists of the General Counsel, Assistant Executive Director, and Director of Communications. Additionally, the Director of Finance will serve as an ad hoc member.
 
Be assured this Management Team will carry out all operations of the Bar and has the full confidence of the Executive Council. Our Management Team will ensure bar operations remain uninterrupted and service to members remain consistent during this time of transition.
 
We will keep you informed of any updates as we move forward. 

Amended Rules of Juvenile Procedure

The Supreme Court of Alabama issued an Order Friday amending Rule 13 of the Alabama Rules of Juvenile Procedure. You can read the full order here. The amendments go into effect on February 1, 2021.

Law Firm Financing Webinar Presented by AAJ Women's Caucus
