Welcome Terri Lovell as Executive Director

As of June 2, Terri Lovell has begun her tenure as Executive Director. Help us welcome her to the Alabama State Bar! You can read more about Terri here.

“It is a great privilege and honor to lead the Alabama State Bar and help direct the future of the Alabama legal community,” said Lovell.  “I look forward to building relationships and identifying opportunities every day in which we can engage, equip and empower our members for their best work.”

Ellen Brooks, who's served as Interim Executive Director since February, will remain on board until June 30, to assist in the transition and advise as needed.

ASB Position Opening: VLP Intake Specialist

The ASB Volunteer Lawyer Program (VLP) has a position opening for an Intake Specialist. The majority of the Intake Specialist's job will be interviewing clients and identifying potential legal issues. A paralegal degree, paralegal certification or legal experience is required.
