Pro Bono Pledge

Montgomery, AL

Alabama’s five law schools have joined together to encourage their students to take the Pro Bono Pledge during Pro Bono Month 2018. The school have joined together on a website that allows law students to commit to include time each year to render service to their communities through activities such as volunteering, mentoring, participating in legal clinics, working in public interest or public service and providing legal services to those in need.

Lunch with the Chief Justice

Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Lynn Stuart shall host a lunch for seven members of the bar who enroll, during Pro Bono Month, as new members in one the the state’s Volunteer Lawyers Programs. The clinic will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Montgomery Community Action building 1100 Adams Avenue, Montgomery. The clinic will open at 3:00 p.m. It is open to the public and you do not need an appointment. Local lawyers will provide free legal advice to those who cannot afford legal assistance.
