Chotsani Holifield Honored with Justice Janie L. Shores Scholarship

MIRIMAR BEACH, Fla. and MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The Alabama State Bar Women’s Section has awarded Chotsani Holifield with the 2022 Justice Janie L. Shores Scholarship. Holifield is a first-generation college graduate and student at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. She plans to pursue a legal career as a litigator and, one day, serve on the bench.

The scholarship, sponsored by the Alabama Law Foundation, is awarded annually to one or more outstanding female Alabama residents attending an Alabama law school. The Alabama State Bar Women’s Section established the Justice Janie L. Shores Scholarship, named in honor of the first female Alabama Supreme Court Justice.
