Case Administrator – U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (Atlanta)
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit is seeking a full-time, permanent Case Administrator in its Atlanta Clerk’s Office. This role is responsible for managing appellate cases from filing through final disposition, ensuring documents comply with court rules, maintaining electronic case records (CM/ECF), issuing court notices and orders, monitoring case progress, and assisting judges, attorneys, litigants, and the public.
Key responsibilities include:
- Opening and processing new cases.
- Reviewing and docketing court filings.
- Maintaining electronic case records.
- Monitoring case progression and deadlines.
- Issuing orders and notices.
- Preparing cases for closure.
- Providing customer service to court users.
- Performing other Clerk’s Office duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of specialized clerical or administrative experience involving detailed procedures, regulations, data entry, and document processing.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures.
- Strong computer and word-processing skills.
- Prior court experience.
- A bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate.
Salary & Schedule
- Salary: $52,199–$84,879 (CL-25), depending on qualifications and experience.
- Flexible Monday–Friday schedule between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with occasional additional hours as needed.
