James R. Houts

In this photo, James R. Houts is meeting his daughter for the first time. She was born while he was deployed to Iraq with the XVIIIth Airborne Corps in 2005. Houts served as an operational law adviser in Iraq with specific focus on detainee operations and restoration of the rule of law. He’s currently serving as a judge advocate in the Alabama Army National Guard.
