Alabama State Bar Elections: Qualified Candidates
2026-27 Qualified Candidates
The Alabama State Bar will conduct its 2026 elections for the offices of President-Elect and Bar Commissioners in accordance with the Rules Governing Election and Selection of President-Elect and Members of the Board of Commissioners.
President-Elect candidates have timely filed qualifying materials and must meet all eligibility requirements as of February 1, 2026.
Bar Commissioner candidates have timely filed qualifying materials and must meet all eligibility requirements as of April 24, 2026.

President-Elect 2026-2027

Qualifying for the office of President-Elect is now closed. George R. Parker was the only qualified candidate and is therefore elected President-Elect of the Alabama State Bar for the 2026–2027 bar year. He will assume the office of President for the 2027–2028 bar year following the term of current President-Elect Jana R. Garner, who will serve as President during the 2026–2027 bar year.
