Experienced Litigation Paralegal

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal who brings professionalism, initiative, and a high level of attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on substantive legal matters and to take ownership of case management in a fast-paced environment. The Paralegal will play an integral role in all phases of litigation—from initial intake through trial and resolution. This position requires someone who can anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and maintain exceptional organization across a diverse caseload.

The ideal candidate is confident working independently, demonstrates sound judgment, and is comfortable handling sensitive client matters with discretion.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support across multiple practice areas, managing cases from intake through trial or resolution
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Conduct legal research and assist in case development and strategy
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files using Clio (or similar case management software)
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial, including exhibit preparation and evidence organization
  • Monitor case deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements; proactively track and follow up on filings, subpoenas, and outstanding discovery to ensure full compliance
  • Utilize Alacourt and other court systems to track case activity, review filings, and obtain records
  • Review and summarize case materials, including medical records, police reports, and discovery documents
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, and coordinate attorney calendars and case scheduling
  • Maintain accurate and timely billing entries and meet established billable hour requirements
  • Proactively support attorneys by anticipating needs, managing workflow, and ensuring a high standard of organization and work product

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience required
  • Experience in relevant practice areas such as criminal, civil, or family law preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage a litigation caseload with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality legal documents with minimal supervision
  • Strong proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw)
  • Experience with case management systems (e.g., Clio or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with electronic filing systems (e.g., Alacourt and/or PACER)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to review and interpret legal documents; experience with medical or insurance records is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active matters

Compensation:
