Experienced Paralegal or Legal Assistant
EvaBank is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join its in-house legal department. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with bank leadership on a wide range of legal matters impacting a growing community bank.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer creditor-side bankruptcy matters, including preparation and filing of proofs of claim, motions, and related pleadings
- Utilize PACER for case monitoring, filings, and research
- Assist with foreclosure proceedings, small claims matters, and real estate-related legal work
- Support internal legal operations, documentation, and regulatory compliance matters
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a law firm, financial institution, or legal department preferred
- Demonstrated experience with creditor-based bankruptcy case administration
- Familiarity with foreclosure processes, small claims procedures, and real estate transactions
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters efficiently
- Proficiency with legal software systems, including PACER
Location:
This position is based in Cullman. However, for the right candidate, consideration may be given to working from EvaBank’s Birmingham location.
